To conclude this series of articles I decided to dedicate the last of these to a musical group and not to a single singer: the Imagine Dragons. Imagine Dragons are an American band from Las Vegas, Nevada, formed in 2008.

The group gained notoriety starting in 2012 with the single It’s Time and the launch of their first album Night Visions, which reached the second position on the Billboard 200.

HISTORY OF THE GROUP

the group is made up of: singer Dan Reynolds, drummer Andrew Tolman who met at Brigham Young University in Provo, both students and right there in 2008 they started playing and creating music together. The rest of the group is Wayne Sermon, from Berklee College of Music, and Brittany Tolman, a colleague of Dan Reynolds University and Andrew Tolman, is formed by guitarist Andrew Colin Beck, keyboardist Aurora Florence and bassist Dave Lemke who together create the skeleton of the group.

Initially the band uses a name known by them therefore not yet public but shortly afterwards it was changed to Imagine Dragons. The group started to get their first successes already in 2008 with the victory in the “Battle of the Bands” of the University of that year. After the publication Wayne Sermon, coming from Berklee College of Music, and Brittany Tolman, a colleague of Dan Reynolds University and Andrew Tolman, ion of the first song: Speak to Me, the group saw how Beck and Florence left the group but not a little later they were replaced by Wayne Sermon, from Berklee College of Music, and Brittany Tolman, a colleague of Dan Reynolds University and Andrew Tolman.

In 2010 the group started creating the first tracks especially when they moved permanently to Las Vegas.

Also in the same year after the release of several EPs including IT’S TIME the group began to perform in front of an audience in different places in America attracting many people to listen to their music.

INTERVIEW WITH ALAN WALKER

In 2016 an interview with Alan Walker was made, here following an extract:

Don’t you have plans for an entire album, or if you have them, don’t you tell them?

“I continue to produce music that I would call abstract in the sense that I don’t put myself on the computer with a feeling in my head, I put down a basic idea and let my creativity run free”. “Sooner or later even a single instrumental will arrive, I started from there and I want to come back. I have always loved the soundtracks, and therefore I started doing EDM, but with an idea of providing soundscapes influenced by the soundtracks of films and video games. I am interested in creating music that makes you feel good. Here is what EDM is missing today: emotions and melodies with a positive spirit “.

And the hood always dropped on the head?

“It’s not that I don’t want people to recognize me, but it has become my hallmark. It’s my style. People don’t see me in the face and … recognize me. Isn’t it cool? ”.
